Lasiliiri Oy delivered laminated safety glass to the interior of Valkeakoski’s new fire station
Valkeakoski received a new fire station in the autumn of 2018. Lasiliiri Oy delivered and, in cooperation with Avekmet Oy, implemented the stylish glass partitions for the interior of the fire station, which was commissioned in the autumn. In terms of glass, the most challenging part of the project was finding the best safety glass solution for a fast-paced site that meets all the wishes expressed for the premises.
The building, which contains a lot of activities and people, received laminated safety glass dimensioned for its needs by Lasiliiri Oy. Thanks to the glass partitions, the premises were able to retain the impression of an open space, while at the same time providing appropriate privacy and sound insulation. The glazing of the internal partitions ensured an unobstructed view, and the floor-to-ceiling glass elements also took into account the safety aspect. The properties of the glasses are such that personal injury cannot occur, even if there is a lot of movement in the premises and collisions cannot be completely avoided.
