The retail park Bredis in Nihtisilla, Espoo, expanded even larger
NREP and Lehto will continue their cooperation in the development of the Bredis business center in Laajalahti, Espoo. The second phase of construction was started at the beginning of June and the extension was completed in the summer of 2021. The extension brought an additional 7,700 square meters of retail space to the business center, which increased the total area of the store to almost 23,000 square meters. Lehto also built the first phase of the shopping center, which was completed in March 2019.

3K insulating glass elements were implemented at the site, which required good thermal insulation and laminated glass meeting the burglary protection class 2 and meeting the protection class P4A. The outer surface of the 3K structure was realized with its own tempered softened 6 mmn selective glass. 2K insulating glass elements with the same burglary protection class 2 requirements were also delivered to the site, but these elements were tempered with 4 mm soft-surface selective glazing, which requires a high-quality tempering machine and good workmanship. A total of approx. 380 m2 of glass.
Example constructions: 3K 6 mm tempered selective, 4 mm selective, P4A protection class 9.5 mm laminated glass. 2K P4A protection class 9.5 mm laminated glass, 4 mm tempered selective. 1K 6 mm hardened.
