Lasiliiri Oy delivered insulating glass elements to Tampere’s historic Linen Factory – a traditional look with modern benefits
The Pellavatehdas in Tampere was a challenging restoration site with spectacular arches. The aim was to preserve the beautiful and traditional appearance of the building, but at the same time the new glass structures sought a result that met modern standards. In cooperation with Ritalasi Oy, Lasiliiri Oy fulfilled its wishes and achieved its goals.
The personal solution to the public building was a traditional window element that was to be preserved in a historic site. Therefore, it was decided to install the opening MSE glass elements at the Flax Mill. With the solution, the look and shape of the windows fit beautifully into the façade and fit into the traditional essence of the building. With the help of new glass, the interior was made more comfortable with, among other things, the sun protection feature and effective thermal insulation.
