Lasiliiri Oy and Alfacom together delivered insulating glass elements and safety glass to the Kuopio Museum
The Kuopio Museum will be connected to the Kuopio Main Library with a new building, and together they will form a block of information and stories, Kant . Events and services diversify, combining nature, cultural history and library content.
The Kuopio Museum will open to the public on February 19, 2021. This will open a new space for changing exhibitions, workshop space, a museum shop, a café and conference facilities. These are mainly located in a new building between the old Kuopio Museum and the Kuopio Main Library. At the turn of the year 2021–2022, basic exhibitions of natural history and cultural history and a children’s playground will open, located on the old side of the Kuopio Museum.
