Klingendahl, Tampere

Modern glass technology upgraded an old industrial building into a modern high-value property

Klingendahl, one of Tampere’s most impressive buildings, offers a large number of traditional, loft-style office and residential spaces. In the 1950s, the old industrial building was still home to Klingendahl Oy, a yarn manufacturer founded by Fabian Klingendahl (1852-1937). Klingendahl’s courtyard is home to an 81-metre chimney built in 1951 and the house was protected by a town plan in 1985.
